Can I just say that spring clothes are my favorite? I think because it’s all the colors I ADORE plus the added bonus of layering. I love a good layered outfit. Maybe because I can feel all covered up but still cute – not bulky winter covered and not sweat-my-ass-off summer covered (Yes, I still defiantly rock a cardi when its 175 out. Stupid Texas summers). I hafta tell you, dear reader, I’m a little bit elated to find that Forever 21 (I’m good with being 30, btw – but their stuff is just so CHEAP! I can’t resist…) has a curvy girl line! And have you heard of Asos? Me either. Until my always trendy (also curvy) cousin showed me the light.
Where is all of this going? I’m being selfish today! Here is my round up of fabulous spring fashion for the curvy girls – perfect for Easter and spring photo sessions!
The HiLo Dress is perfect for the girl who picnics and plays croquet barefoot on Easter after she’s done chasing the family kids around during the Easter Egg hunt. Light and breezy it’s just the right amount of spring-festive. I’m just dying over the bows on the amazing coral color. This a-line lovely might be perfect for a Country Club brunch or Easter dinner at Grammy’s. I’d love it with a soft green or mint cardi on top. Not traditional, but oh so wonderful, the heart print on this black and white a-line keeps it daytime fun – not dinner date fun. WIth or without a cardi, it’s perfect in b&w or punched up with some colorful accents. Pair this preciously sweet lace skirt with an ivory top or even a white fitted tee. It can go anywhichway of fabulous. The most traditional of my picks, this floral frock whispers ‘Welcome, Spring!”. It would be just darling with a cream cardi, a cropped demin jacket, or even an unstructured blazer. And the perfect shoe for any of these looks? A nude pump or wedge. My friend, Kate M. would approve.
I’ll give you one guess as to which one of these beauties ended up in my shopping cart…
