Have you noticed all of those sweet “succulent terrariums” in West Elm and Ballard and all over lately?
A few summers ago I bought a rather large faux conch shell at TJMaxx and although it usually sits on the shelf, I thought it might be a good candidate for the succulents – and so summery and perfect on the coffee table!
I don’t remember what these are called, but I LOVE the aubergine color of the low flat plant. The puffy “taller” plant has little touches of aubergine on the tips of the leaves.
I’m completely loving the green and aubergine with the white shell. I’ve heard its relatively easy to keep these alive – we’ll see if it makes it through the summer! I might replant them in a ginger jar for the winter or to move to a different location. Now if I could just keep the cat from exploring the new “toy”…
