The single most important part of my job is preserving your memories. Sweet baby feet, round bellies, drooly smiles, adoptions, families, teens on the cusp of adulthood – and sometimes goodbyes.
When a friend contacted me asking if I’d be willing to squeeze in a session ASAP for one of her good friends because their beloved fur baby Jackson was in doggy hospice, I hesitated for a split second to digest some self doubt about being trusted with such a deeply personal request, and said yes.
Jackson came home from the animal hospital on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning I shot Jackson and his family in their backyard. Sunday evening, Jackson passed away with the people who love him most. I’m so absolutely honored that they will have Jackson in images to remember forever.
