I’m not one to work out. Truly. I really WANT to love it but I just haven’t found that sweet spot of pain vs pleasure vs results. So I just don’t do it. Scratch that. I just didn’t do it. Because I think I’ve found my sweet spot. I was invited to MommyTime to try out their mom focused classes – and picked a yoga class. Though their specialty is pre and post natal care – they are ALL about Moms – moms of newborns to moms who’s babies have babies.
The super warm and inviting interior is a place that makes me WANT to be there. No weird incense, funky plug ins or room sprays to cover up the gym smell – because there IS no gym smell. They are fully stocked with healthy (and yummy) snacks, drinks and odds and ends any mom would love. Bonus points for being stroller friendly!
Can I just have a geeky photographer moment? Their in-house studio for newborn (and beyond!) photos is wonderful. See those lights? Yeah – I drooled a little.
I think one of my FAVORITE things is the kid’s club. Petite didn’t come with me this time, but I just know she’d love it. There are things for all ages levels and abilities to play on, play in, and check out.
Past the studio and kid’s club are the TRUE MommyTime rooms! I’m dying to go back for a full massage after we were treated to a mini hand and arm massage!
The yoga studio (it doubles as a pilate’s studio) is bright and warmly lit and the temperature was just right. As we were waiting for our class to begin a pre-natal class let out and one of the moms quipped ‘I wonder what class THIS is?’ I had a little laugh- and wanted to reply – ‘Where you’ll wish you were in 18 months!’
Pamela, Amy, Stacy, Jen, Colleen and I had a great workout with Anna our instructor. She was so in tune to the levels in our class and adjusted accordingly. My muscles were gently worked – I felt it for days! – and she took us through some great combinations. I can’t WAIT to go back. To go to a welcoming environment where I know Petite will receive excellent care while I’m rejuvenating my body and spirit to be an even better Mommy, wife and friend! They also have Mommy & Me Yoga classes, Bikini Bootcamp, Pilates and so much more for every stage of motherhood…
Like I said – I think I’ve found my sweet spot!
(Just so we’re cool – I was invited to participate in a class and received a TDF mini hand and arm massage. No other compensation was received and I wasn’t asked to share any information with you. All opinions and gushing are my own.)
