I love finding easy and high impact projects to bring a little POW! to the party. FMG is terrible easy going about my love-for-the-party and completely appreciated the bow ties and cupcake banner I made for his party. And by completely loved I mean to say he noticed and appreciated them. Which totally equals completely loved in my book. They were SUPAH easy – let me show you!
\A dapper old chap must have a proper bow tie, right? The balloons each got a tissue paper version. It’s two-ply (as in, two sheets that I cut and glued together) for some stiffness.
The presents were properly dressed for the occasion, too. I used some glitter scrapbook paper for this package (and Petite helped by sticking black dots all over – totally adds to the presentation, don’t you think?)
The cakes were layered in mason jars – because everything tastes cuter in a mason jar – and needed a little somethin-somethin.
Two paper straws + gold sequins + washi tape + baker’s twine = the simplest and cutest bunting ever. It took all of about 10 minutes to make – including hunting down tape.
To be sure, I don’t think FMG’s birthday would have been so successful without it. Who wouldn’t want to blow out candles framed in gold sequins? It practically guarantees your wishes will come true!
