Most cheese crackers taste marginally like cheese… these hit you in the face with bleu cheese flavor!
The original recipe is Martha Stewart’s Halloween Blue Cheese Crackers.
Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor fitted with a steel blade.
Pulse until combined … it will start off chunky.
Slowly it will form into pea sized pebbles.
Then the mixture makes smaller pebbles right before it pulls together.
Perfect! It forms itself into a perfectly combined ball of bleu cheese goodness.
Pat into an inch thick disc.
Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least an hour.
When it’s chilled down, take it out and roll it out on a well floured board.
I think Martha calls for 1/8 or an inch. I just go thin!
Doesn’t that look SO good!?
These are a perfect pre-meal munchie or would be amazing served with a salad.
The intense cheese taste begs to be enjoyed with a glass of wine!
Martha’s recipe calls for Shropshire blue cheese – but I’ve made it with several different brands and types of bleu cheese and they are all good! If you’d like to kick them up a little, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne! Yum!
