Y’all. I never thought about ordering craft supplies online. Specialty items that I might need, yes. Basic crafty-pants items? No.
Consumer Crafts has completely changed my thought process for basic craft supplies. They have EVERYTHING you could need – and some things you never knew you really needed. No website will ever be able to replace my favorite down the street crafty pants store for last minute supplies but with the amazingly low prices Consumer Crafts offers, I can stand to plan ahead and be patient. Plus, through Feb. 4 everything is on sale!
So what did I order? I’m so glad you asked…
I ALWAYS need Mod Podge. I seriously don’t know where it all goes but I really really don’t like to run out. It’s like, my most favorite supply, of all time.
For Christmas presents this year, I embellished flour sack dish cloths with rick-rack, ribbon, pompoms, and stamped messages. When I was scrolling through the Consumer Crafts site, I stumbled across this little gem. Embroidery that practically creates itself? Um, yes please! And I have leftover dishtowels to practice on!
I couldn’t buy an embroidery tool without also getting some thread. I have no idea how much threat will be needed for each project, but I figured this grab bag of sorts would tide me over. Such a bargain — and I don’t have to stand in the aisle and get “tsk-tsk-ed” at because I’m in someone’s way.
Kind of random, no? Except that IT’S TOTALLY NOT. I can’t wait to embellish these bad boys for birthdays, Valentines Day, and Secret Buddy Presents. I’ve seen these packages of bags go for triple what Consumer Crafts is selling them for. Done and done.
Again, I’ve looked at these in several places but the cost always deterred me from trying out a new toy. I can’t wait to make embellishments for the dish towels, Petite’s clothes, a head band or two, maybe even a whole blanket of yoyo’s! Kidding. I don’t have that kind of patience.
The brands of items offered on Consumer Crafts is quite remarkable. I can’t wait to hang this Martha Stewart garland for my Valentine’s Cookie Exchange and then it will most likely reappear for Petite’s birthday party.
I wrote this post as part of a campaign with Blueprint Social. The opinions in this post are my own.
UPDATE – JANUARY 31 – MY HAUL!!!!!
Can’t wait to get my hands busy!
