How is it possible that we’re prepping for school to start?? Back to School Mini sessions have become one of my favorite traditions. Take the stress out of the “perfect shot” on the first day of school and grab one you’ll cherish forever. (That doesn’t mean don’t take one on the first day of school! Just that you don’t have to argue about smiling or running late!) This year, by… Keep Reading
Maggie’s mama is one of my dear friends – who happens to live in Houston. When she proposed a day-trip visit for some 6 month-ish portraits of her sweet babe, I was ALL IN.
Ty is simply one of the happiest babies I’ve ever met… and my new favorite way to kick off a Cake Smash is with a few minutes of a more traditional portrait. As much as I love the cake smash part, I really love warming up with some “getting to know you” time. Happy birthday Ty!

Expecting twin boys, Mary visited for a slow paced, light and airy, and simply beautiful in-studio maternity session. I love the simplicity of the images and that in the crazy Texas heat, everyone stays cool and comfortable. The two cream dresses she’s wearing are part of the studio collection.
Oh the heartache when dear friends move away — and the delight when they come back to visit. Caitlin and her crew recently relocated to Cali and stopped through San Antonio on their way to a destination wedding. While dad was in meetings, I practically begged Caitlin to come by the studio for some quick pictures of her and the boys. It’s hard to let go of a friend and… Keep Reading
Turning one – there just isn’t a cuter birthday. It’s a celebration of life, of parental survival, and of CAKE! Joshua rocked his cake-smash session and thoroughly enjoyed his Bird Bakery smash cake (my favorite cakes in San Antonio!). I’ll just let the images tell the rest of the story:
