Wow. I’ve started this post like 15 times. Seriously.
Because I want to tell you about Stacy. And how she was preggers when she moved to San Antonio. And she didn’t know anyone so no one threw her a baby shower. And that was sad – because it’s a special time when you and your baby should be celebrated!
Then she started this blogger’s group on Facebook. It grew. It grew to over 250 area bloggers. Men and women who band together and cheer for each other and support each other.
So when Stacy realized we had five Mommas due within mere months of each other – well, she (and her giant, giving heart) decided we were throwing a baby shower for them – because thats what friends do. So we did. And it was epic.
Our friend Courtney, who owns a precious children’s store called Crib and Kids allowed us to use her whole space for the shower. Working in a retail space was a small challenge – but allowed us the freedom to construct the shower from scratch and stretch our imaginations. Courtney worked with some of her vendors to get some amazing, AMAZING, gifts for our mommas and so many other awesome companies treated us to a fabulous party.
I was having a hard time fitting everything into this post – so we’ll do a few (Yay! I know you’ll wait with palpable anticipation for each and every installment! 🙂 ) starting with a general photo smash up :
A quick run down —
The whole theme was inspired by Minted’s Up Up and Away Baby shower party decor. We found the giant balloons, sweet utensils and paper polkadot baking cups at The TomKat Studio and Honest Tea sent the most amazing drinks for the girls. Stacy will be doing a fabulous recap of the gifts and other things and I’ll be back to show you some details from the decor and invitations – and how you can DIY it all for SO inexpensive!
