Just like in any other job, stepping out of your comfort zone to do something creative is refreshing to me. I took a break from the families and headed to one of my favorite San Antonio locations – Bakery Lorraine. (Which, by the way, was just named the NUMBER ONE new bakery in the US!) I was just tagging along with Misha – but I got some fabulous shots and thoroughly enjoyed my time shooting in one of my favorite places.
All that goodness just waiting to fill my, I mean, someone’s tummy! The smell of fresh croissants, tarts, macarons (yes! Just one “o”. Look it up.), muffins and coffee and tea will just about knock you over its so amazing.
I just love a good, broken in muffin tin. And just in case you need a few dozen muffins…
Don’t you love seeing someone who just LOVES what they do? I do. It’s fabulous!
That red bean cream? I wanted to steal it and go sit in the garden out back with it and a spoon and some solitude. Yup. It’s that good.
Anne and Jeremy are a hoot – and it was fun to make Jeremy get out of his comfort zone a little, too – we made him sprinkle flour over and over and over. The consummate pastry expert — he was just worried about over flouring the croissant dough.
I mean, seriously. It makes my mouth water.
Seriously, one of the coolest “field trips” I’ve ever been on. And now it’s just fun to know what the backside of my favorite bakery looks like.
